Both the owners and the surrounding community had a history reflecting a strong Irish heritage and we set about weaving that inspiration into our design philosophy.
We came up with the concept of a contemporary Irish pub/restaurant bringing icon elements of Irish lore and culture. To achieve this, we brought the literary heritage forward with hand lettering of Irish wit on the walls. We commissioned artists to create a mural respresenting the misty green beauty of the country side and complemented this with charcoal renderings of the people of Ireland.
As the building has two "wings", it naturally followed to create a pub environment separated from the dining by an entry lobby which we termed the "crossroads". This area serves the dual purpose of greeting guests while clearly identifying pub and dining environments - allowing for exclusive use of these areas or a mix of the two. Additionally, the crossroads is designed to accommodate music and dancing at live performances.
